Parent’s Corner- February 19, 2023

“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”  Ephesians 6:16

What is Biblical faith?  It is trusting in God.  It is not blind, but a response to the facts God has made known about himself.  In our Sunday school lesson today, Rahab demonstrated her faith through her actions.  She was in extraordinary circumstances, but she chose to trust in the Lord and act accordingly.  Someone had told her about the Lord, she believed, and she acted in faith.

While our circumstances are not the same as Rahab’s, we all experience attacks to our faith in our daily lives.  Our children do as well!  How are we going to respond when our faith is put to the test?  How are we going to encourage our children to act when they experience the same?  The shield of faith can protect from the arrows of attack.  What are you doing to strengthen your shield?  How can you encourage and instruct your children to do the same?
