Please join us on Tuesday evenings from 6/11-7/23 from 7:00-8:30pm (no childcare) in the Fireside Room as read and discuss You Are What You Love: The Spiritual Power of Habit by James K. A. Smith.  
In his book, Smith discusses "the formative power of culture and the transformative possibilities of Christian practices."  He says, "Our action bubbles up from our loves, which are habits we've acquired through the practices we're immersed in.  These [habits] aren't just things we do, but things that do something to us" (p. 29, 32).

Please join us as we continue considering life together as a community of the new creation in Christ.  In this book, Dietrich Bonhoeffer gives practical advice on how life together in Christ can be sustained in families and groups.  The role of personal prayer, worship in common, everyday work, and Christian service is treated in simple, almost biblical, words.  "Life Together" is bread for all who are hungry for the real life of Christian fellowship.
