Parent’s Corner- February 5, 2023

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy- think about such things.”  Philippians 4:8

True, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable. . . The one place where all of these are found in one place is in the pages of Scripture!  As you spend time in the Scriptures this week, join me in asking the Lord for wisdom to discernment and understand the truth, and for us to be able to pass it along to our kids!  Depending on their ages, tell them what you have read, ask them what they have read, or read it together.  It is so important for them to understand that the Bible is a book for every day, not just for Sunday!  

May the Lord bless your parenting this week!

Principle- God blesses obedience and punishes disobedience.

Ask Your Child- Are there consequences for disobedience today?

Apply- By memorizing scripture to meditate on throughout the day.

Next Week- Joshua 1

Children’s Church- God Delivers Daniel from the Lions Den

Scripture- Daniel 6

Principle- Believers are faithful before God.

Ask Your Child- How was Daniel faithful to God?

Apply- By developing a habit of praying continually
