Sunday School Classes

The overarching focus of our Sunday School classes will be “the faith once delivered” (Jude 3).

The particular classes offered have the goal of helping us properly define and understand the faith, share and defend the faith, and order our lives and our homes in light of the faith.

Here are the three classes that we will offer this Fall, along with the Elder(s) who will oversee the class:

  • One class will focus on defining the faith once delivered, namely Trinitarian theology as expressed in the Nicene Creed, as we consider both the doctrinal expression and the errors swirling around the church during that time that forced such a clarifying expression, many of which remain present even to this day. This class will be overseen by Kipp Soncek.

  • A second class will focus on evangelism and apologetics, as we seek to share and defend the faith once delivered in our current age of shifting worldviews and reasons for rejecting God, His Word, the Gospel, and His Kingdom. This class will be overseen by Paul Rupple.

  • A third class will seek to examine and instruct on how the faith once delivered ought to order our homes. A home ordered in a God-glorifying way both causes that home to flourish and provides a tremendous testimony to one another and our neighbors whom we seek to love well for the sake of the Kingdom. This class will be overseen by Lance Hinkle and Wes Karsten.

As we approach the September 7th restart, more information about the classes will be made available. We are looking forward with much excitement to seeing how our Lord uses this new structure to further build up His body here in Warrenville. We hope you will join us in that excitement and plan on participating in a class this coming Fall.
